Frequently Asked...

What artists inspire you?

I enjoy the work of Salvador Dali & Rene Magritte. Michael Whelan & Bert Monroy are
two current-day artists who I admire.

How long does it take you to complete a painting, "traditional" or digital?

One month is probably average. The most I have spent on one (digital) painting was about four months (see Vastitas Borealis in the Digital Painting Gallery.)

What software do you use for your digital paintings?

Primarily Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator.

What type of computer/hardware do you use?

I use an 27" Apple iMac and a Wacom Cintique to produce my digital paintings.

Are all of your paintings digital now or do you still use traditional media?

It has been quite awhile since I painted with acrylic paint! Everything I do now is digital.

Where do you get your ideas?

Many of them just come to me. Others I have to think about and develop over time.
The idea for "Inner Light" one of my acrylic paintings, actually came to me in a dream.
