Although it has been a number of years since Eric has painted with “traditional” brushes and paints, Eric continued his
love of painting through digital means.

“Finding Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator opened up amazing possibilities for my work,” Eric explains. “I found Photoshop
to be this incredible tool that allowed
me to take my traditional techniques
and processes and push them in
new directions.”

“I do miss acrylic paints and canvas from time to time. Obviously, the computer offers many advantages, but so much of what I do digitally is possible only because I started as a traditional painter.”

I remember how long it used to take me to complete some of my more traditional pieces. I think it is interesting to note
that I tend to take as long or longer
on a ‘computer’ piece as I did in my earlier works.”
